G marks the spot…….. Have you shot the G yet?

If you’re loosing your sexual urge or drive in experiencing sexual pleasure or orgasm, this may just be what the doctor ordered for you.

You don’t have to struggle with sex anymore. This isn’t just something for one age group of patients either. Many women struggle with achieving orgasm of various ages, including women from 20-40 years old who either struggle to achieve pleasure during intercourse or those that have experienced heightened pleasure before but find they aren’t as pleasured as they once used to be.

G-Shot for the G-Spot

What is the G Spot?

The G Spot is called the Gräfenberg Spot. Identified by a German gynaecologist. It refers to an erogenous zone in the vaginal wall which swells during sexual stimulation.

Where is the G Spot?

The G Spot is located around 5cm away from the vaginal opening in the anterior vaginal wall. It’s a spot which is very sensitive to sexual stimulation. Once stimulated, it releases a clear secretion that is discharged from the vagina and this phenomenon is referred to as ‘female ejaculation’.

It’s always easier to locate your G-spot in your own privacy without first getting your partner involved. Begin by massaging the opening to your vagina before inserting your fingers or a sex toy. Then, using your index fingers, lift upward toward your belly button in a “come here” motion. Remember it’s about identifying the rough region from which stimulation gives you the most pleasure or a sensation of wanting to pee.

What is the G-Shot?

It is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment.

It is a revolutionary scientific breakthrough that enhances and enlarges the G-spot, a bean-shaped area located in the front of the vagina that is abundant with nerve tissue.

The idea, it seems, is that a larger, more pronounced G-spot would amount to heightened sexual arousal and an increase in vaginal orgasms. It can make orgasms more intense and potentially allow a woman multiple orgasms.

Is the G-Shot painful?

It is a simple, painless clinic procedure performed in our clinic under local anesthesia. It is a non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that augments the Grafenburg Spot.

How long does the G-Shot take?

It usualy takes around 30 minutes from start to finish.

How long do the effects of G-Shot last?

The augmentation can last anywhere from 4-6 months. Thereafter to maintain the effect, we recommend scheduling the procedure twice a year. This is mainly because the HA Fillers (with or without Plasma Rich Platelet) injected will get broken down and absorbed by the body by that time returning your G-Spot into its original size.

How is the G-Shot procedure carried out?

A thorough history and consultation is carried out to ensure this is the right procedure for you.

Next some local anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area that is to be injected.

You will be asked to locate your own G-Spot which will then be conferred by the doctor where the exact location is within the vagina.

A vaginal speculum with some lubricating jelly is inserted into the vagina to provide a field of vision to the G-Spot.

The area to be injected is then cleaned with a sterile swab.

A small puncture into the vaginal wall is made to deliver the product to the right area.

The vaginal speculum is removed and a tampon is inserted into the vagina to minimise any bleeding.

What are the risks of G-Shot?

Risks are minimal and the HA Fillers are very safe.

Less than 1% have post procedure bleeding or infection.

Which part of the menstrual cycle can the procedure be carried out?

The procedure can be performed during any part of the menstrual cycle.

When can sexual intercourse take place after a G-Shot procedure?

Sexual activity can be resumed 4 hours after treatment.

Does the G-Shot enhance sexual pleasure?

The preliminary evidence indicates that these shots can enhance the orgasms of some women. As with many treatments in the growing field of female genital procedures, we will have a greater understanding of their effectiveness when we have rigorous scientific studies. In one study, 87% of women reported enhanced sexual arousal/gratification after receiving the G-Shot.

An enlarged G-spot may not actually have much of an effect on some women. For women who don’t normally get pleasure from that area, they won’t feel much of an effect. Women who derive pleasure from vaginal stimulation are likely to feel more intense arousal with a G-spot augmentation.

Every female is different and some women orgasm predominantly from the clitoris and others more so from the vagina and the G-spot stimulation.

Orgasms are not one-size-fits-all, so there’s no right or wrong way to orgasm.

How much is the G-Shot?

£1500

A nose job over a cup of tea …….

A nose job over a cup of tea …….

The nose is the only part of your face that protrudes from your face. It is the most defining feature of the face that impacts all the other features of the face.

Ever looked at your nose and thought, ‘can this look better?’

If you’re not keen for surgery and repeated usage of fillers again and again to correct deformities, the nose thread lift maybe an option for you.

Choose Y-KO or HIKO.

Nose Thread Lift

Where are these techniques from?

These were invented and developed in South Korea. The typical Asian nose has a low bridge, short nose, an upturned nose tip that is bulbous and harbors a short collumella. The nose thread lift may correct these problems. It works well correcting defects in the Caucasian nose.

What are Nose Thread Lift threads?

PDO stands for Polydioxanone. Its material has been used in surgical sutures for a very long time in surgeries.

How does the Nose Thread Lift work?

The threads that are placed delicately into the nose dissolve in the body by 9 months. They work by mechanically lifting tissues with their barbs and as the threads remain in situ, they stimulate natural collagen production by your own tissues. This means that the results of the nose thread lift will continue to improve, making it more beneficial as you age.

How long does the Nose Thread Lift last?

1-2 years

How long does a Nose Thread Lift take?

It takes about 30 minutes to carry out the procedure. What takes a little longer is the consultation and injecting the anaesthesia in certain areas to make it pain free thereafter.

Is a Nose Thread Lift painful?

The only discomfort you may feel is when anaesthetic is being administered. It is delivered through 4 tiny injections smaller than a insulin syringe.

How is the Nose Thread Lift carried out?

A thorough consultation is required to ensure it is safe and that this is the right procedure for you.

Then several anatomical markings and measurements will be taken and marked.

A small amount of local anaesthetic is injected in and around the nose to numb the area.

A small puncture will made with a needle in the tip of the nose to give access for threads to be inserted.

Multiple threads are inserted in various angles and layers to achieve the result that you desire.

Is the Nose Thread Lift procedure for you?

If you are looking for a correction of deformities without the risks with surgery, this is an option you should look into.

If you are a person who only gets HA filler treatment and are tired of the downtime.

If you are a person who is not satisfied with HA filler.

If you are a person who wants minimal invasive treatment.

If you are a person who needs conclusive results.

If you are a person who is looking for an affordable solution.

If you are a person who is concerned with the safety issue of HA fillers.

This procedure may enhance your nose to achieve a:

– sharper and sleeker nose tip;

– sharper and slimmer nose bridge;

– straighter nose bridge;

– higher nose bridge;

– defined nose bridge;

– narrowing of ala flares.

What can be obtained with a Nose Thread Lift?

– Higher or longer noses bridge

– Straight nose bridge for deviated noses

– Sharper and sleeker nose bridge

– Narrower nose tip

– Tip rotation correction

– Narrower ala of the nose

What are the advantages of Nose Thread Lift over HA Dermal Fillers?

HA Fillers have an affinity to splay sideways and widen the nose bridge.

The threads are made of a soft material, which doesn’t penetrate the vital vessels in the nose nor migrate from position of placement which prevents severe inflammation or necrosis of nose.

Immediate augmentation result by placing multiple threads.

An approximately 20% fat reduction caused by the threads.

Leaves no scars, and looks natural.

Uniquely barbed polydioxanone thread gives dramatic result within 10 minutes.

Exlcusion of any incisions.

Short downtime.

Stimulates patient’s intrinsic healing process.

Faster Recovery

Can last approximately twice as long as fillers with the added advantage of stimulation of one’s own collagen.

What are the risks of Nose Thread Lift?

Once the threads are placed, they can’t be dissolved. They will require surgical removal with delicate extrusion.

The nose thread lifts are unable to correct nasal dorsal humps or bumps. Sometimes this has to be combined with HA Fillers for a better result.

What are the side effects of Nose Thread Lift?

Side effects are rare, mild bruising and swelling might occur, but this usually fades quickly (you can minimise bruising by avoiding medication aforementioned before the procedure).

Swelling may occur and usually subsides within 7-10 days.

Redness, mild tenderness, itchiness and firmness around the injection sites are common but usually subsides within 7-10 days.

Local infection (please adhere to the post-treatment advice to avoid infection, antibiotics might be needed in such cases).

Asymmetry, threads being felt under the skin, thread migration and thread breakage are other complications which have been observed and may occur.

How much does a Nose Thread Lift cost?

Depending on the numerous number of issues that need to be addressed, prices usually start at £1,500

Nose Thread Lift Post Procedure Instructions?

Avoid drinking alcohol or partaking in strenuous exercise, as it may result in additional bruising for 72 hours.

Keep your head elevated at least 30 degrees for the first three nights.

You may apply ice or cold towel to the surgical sites for the first 24 hours. (Apply for 20 min on and 20 min off in the period of time)

Avoid any direct pressure to the face and area where the threads were placed for  3 weeks after procedure has been performed. (Example: sleeping on your face, known as the face down position, etc.)

You may wash your face. Be careful when washing your face near the nose area where the punctures were made.

Until the swelling and redness have resolved, avoid intense heat in the treated area(s). This includes sunbathing, tanning, saunas, hot tubs, or hot wax.

To help alleviate bruising, we recommend taking Arnica or Bromelain, eating fresh pineapple, and applying ice to the area.

To help alleviate swelling, we recommend an antihistamine during the day, like Zyrtec or Claritin, and Benedryl at night.

Sunscreen and makeup can be applied after 4 hours and you may use a gentle cleanser on the area.

Avoid planning any formal events for at least 7 days following the procedure to allow for adequate healing.

You may gently wash your treatment areas however avoid rubbing, scrubbing, facials, waxing and laser treatments for 7 – 10 days following treatment.

Apply SPF50 or higher and avoid excessive sun exposure to prevent hyperpigmentation.

What no man wants to talk about prematurley

Everyone has had some issue or the other. A malfunction at the wrong time or as one ages, a malfunction most of the time.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t a solution for this. But there is a golden rule, if you don’t ask for help then how are you going to get any help?

Erectile Dysfunction (Premature Ejaculation)

What is Premature Ejaculation?

Premature ejaculation (Erectile Dysfunction)  is a common ejaculatory problem. It occurs before even sexual intercourse or within seconds of sexual intercourse. In other words, ejaculation occurs before the man wants it to happen. It may occur before or after beginning foreplay or intercourse. Some men experience a lot of personal distress because of this condition. Whilst some men have episodes every now and then, if you’re finding that 50% of the time your experiencing pre-mature ejaculation, it is about time that you did something. You don’t have to suffer in silence.

Is Premature Ejaculation common?

It affects 1 in 5 men i.e 20% of the male population who have been affected at some point in their life.

Why does it happen?

There has been a few known factors which contribute to premature ejaculation. Psychological problems such as stress, depression and other factors that affect mental, emotional and biological factors can make some men more prone to experience premature ejaculation.

How do you know if you have Premature Ejaculation?

The key symptoms of premature ejaculation include:

  –  Ejaculation with little sexual stimulation and with poor or little control;

  –  Decreased sexual pleasure because of poor control over ejaculation

  –  Feelings of guilt, embarrassment or frustration

Premature ejaculation is diagnosed based on your history and any underlying causes. A thorough sexual history will have to be discussed. Be frank and open. The more your Cosmetic Surgeon knows, the better they can help you.

If your sexual history fails to reveal significant mental or emotional factors that may contribute to premature ejaculation, your doctor may want to examine you. Your doctor may examine your prostate or do neurological tests (tests of your nervous system) to determine if there is a physical problem that could be causing premature ejaculation.

How long does Premature Ejaculation last?

Sometimes, premature ejaculation is self-limiting i.e they go away on their own. Some may last a few weeks to a few months, others longer.

Working to relieve the underlying issues may help the situation to improve. Some men respond to treatment promptly, while others struggle with this problem over a prolonged period. Treatment is available and it does work.

How do you prevent Premature Ejaculation?

There is no known way to prevent premature ejaculation. However, you should maintain a healthy attitude toward sex. If you experience feelings of anxiety, guilt or frustration about your sex life, consider seeking help.

Anyone can experience sexual problems. If you experience premature ejaculation, don’t blame yourself or feel inadequate. Try speaking openly with your partner to avoid miscommunication. There are treatments available.

What are the treatments for Premature Ejaculation?

There are a number of things you can try yourself before seeking medical help. The outlook is good when treatment is sought.

It can sometimes help to:

–  masturbate priot to having sex an hour or two before

–  use a thicker condom to decrease sensation However, these techniques may interfere with the  pleasure experienced during sex.

–  take a deep breath to briefly shut down the ejaculatory reflex

–  have sex with your partner on top (to allow them to pull away when you are close to ejaculating)

–  take breaks during sex and think about something boring.

The use of topical anaesthetics can help to decrease sensation but may be transferred and absorbed to the vagina, causing decreased sensation to both you and your partner.

The use of certain medications is another which needs to be taken regularly. They take time to work.

Behavioural and Couples therapy are others.

What is the average sex cycle?

In one study an average time from the start of sexual intercourse to ejaculation took 5 minutes 30 seconds.

What else can be done long term?

If you’re tired of taking daily medications, or applying anesthetic creams prior to intercourse and not enjoying sexual intercourse as you or your partner should, there maybe one longer term solution for you.

Hyaluronic Acid (Dermal Fillers). Its important to realise they have an enormous role to play.

The results of using dermal fillers in the glans penis suggest that glandular augmentation with injectable Hyaluronic Acid gel is a safe and effective modality to reduce sensory of glans penis.

In studies the ejaculatory time from start to finish increased significantly.

How long does the procedure take?

The procedure takes 45 mins to perform in the clinic. It is only performed after a thorough consultation is carried out by our Cosmetic Surgeon and if it is deemed safe for you. You should allot an hour from start to finish on consultation and treatment. Some cases may take longer and every case is assessed on merits.

Is it painful?

We always use a local anaesthetic to numb the area which is left for 20-30 minutes or a nerve block to numb the area faster. Thereafter you will feel that something is happening but you should not feel any pain per se.

How long does this procedure last?

This can last upto 6-12 months. At the 6 month mark the HA fillers start to breakdown and by the 12th month mark they are completley dissolved and absorbed by the body. We would recommend a touch up procedure at the 6-8th month mark to maintain the effectiveness.

How much does this cost?

Prices start at £1,500 upwards. A final price can only be determined upon consultation.

How do I prepare for this procedure?

Keep the area dry and clean.

Avoid blood thinning over-the-counter medications such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve one week prior to injections.

Avoid supplements, including St. John’s Wort, gingko biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E for one week prior to injections.

Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or hair removal cream on the area to be treated for 2 days prior.

Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior.

Start taking Arnica two days prior to the procedure. (This is not required, but will help to lessen bruising).

It isn’t advisable to use dermal fillers if you are allergic to any ingredients, or suffer from neurological disorders.

Are there any side effects?

You will have swelling and redness from a few days and may last for weeks. This starts to settle after a few days and is normally gone in 3–4 weeks. To help alleviate swelling, we recommend an antihistamine during the day, like Zyrtec or Claritin, and Benedryl at night.

You may have some discomfort but this is not usually severe.

little bruising is expected, especially if blood thinning agents such as aspirin, Ibuprofen (Nurofen or Advil), fish or krill oil, flaxseed oil or multivitamins have been ingested in the previous two weeks. To help alleviate bruising, we recommend taking Arnica or Bromelain, eating fresh pineapple, and applying ice to the area.

If there is a visible bump, you can massage the area. Depending on the areas treated and the product used, you may feel “firmness.” These areas will soften and settle with time (usually 1-2 weeks).

Whilst not everyone experiences these side effects, they have been reported and you should be informed that they can occur:

–  Recurrence of premature ejaculation

–  Glans pain or paresthesia

–  Erectile dysfunction

–  Haematoma

–  Scar formation

–  Infection

–  Wound breakdown

–  Failure of the procedure

Where else can you use Hyaluronic Acid?

Any part of the body that requires volume or a lift.

From the face to genitals to the feet.

But this can be used to augment the penis in more ways than one.

What should you do?

Book a consultation with us and see if this is a treatment modality for you. Call us on 0207 126 7111 or email us on info@harleystreets.com we will then advise you on what the next steps are.

Fat Dissolving Injections

FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS @ NON SURGICAL LIPOLYSIS

Who are fat dissolving injections for?

This is intended for patients with pockets of localised fat not responding to diet or increased physical exercise. It is not intended for weight loss but rather to improve and alter the contour of the body by removing stubborn areas of fat.

Commonly treated areas include double chin, jowls, upper arms, waist, abdomen, saddle bags, buttocks, banana rolls, thighs and cellulitic skin.

Who is an Ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate for the fat dissolving injection treatment is someone who is not interested in a surgical procedure and who has a stubborn area of fat which is relatively non-responsive to dieting and exercise.

There is a spectrum of efficacy with treatments for fat removal with surgical liposuction still remaining the gold standard for removal of fat, however many people are not interested in the downtime, expense or the surgical nature of this procedure.

Which areas can be treated?

Lipolysis achieves good results in the following body zones:

Chin (double chin)

Cheeks (sagging)

Knees

Ankles

Hips (love handles)

Lipoma

Thighs (saddlebags)

Abdomen

Upper arms (arm toning)

Pseudo gynecomastia (male breasts)

Back (bra fat or muffin top)

Corrective measures after liposuction

Cellulitic areas

How is the treatment delivered?

The doctor will take a thorough medical history and examine you to make sure that you are a suitable candidate and that there are no contraindications to treatment.

You should be fully informed about the benefits and all common and important side effects.

Best practice is to then give you a few days or weeks to consider the treatment before it is carried out.

Is the treatment painful?

The treatment itself is relatively simple. It is delivered through injection points using a long thin needle to access the subcutaneous fat.

The procedure is generally not uncomfortable and most patients report discomfort levels of 1–3 on a scale of 1–10 (10 being severe).

Does it work?

While results can’t be compared to surgical liposuction, where large amounts of fat are permanently removed from the body, the results of fat dissolving injections are still permanent. The treatment takes time to reach its full effect but patients that have undergone follow-up examinations seven years after therapy still show reduction in fat tissue in the treated areas. An added benefit is that the skin tightens naturally during the healing process and it is not normally necessary to treat lax skin separately. If required, this can be done later with energy based devices (ultrasound or radiofrequency) or a thread-lift after treatment.

Is there a guarantee?

As with all medical therapies there is no guarantee of fully successful treatment. Some patients get good results from 3-4 treatments, but many require more treatments. In larger areas more sessions will be required. Up to 8 sessions are required for difficult areas in some cases. The recommended interval between repeat treatments is 2-4 weeks.

Is it safe?

It is only sold and delivered by medical professionals in the UK.

No major untreatable side effects have occurred in over 2 million treatments world wide so far.

Not one single incidence of overdose or toxic effects has been recorded.

In fact the dissolving ingredients gradually work over a period of 2 weeks after the injection. This helps to improve safety and minimise side effects.

Is it costly?

The charges are per injection area per session. Prices start from £800 per session.  It can be costly if large areas persist. Whilst in some patients results maybe visible after just one session in some further sessions are required with the added costs.

What happens after treatment?

You will have swelling and redness in the area where we dissolve the fat for a few weeks. This starts to settle after a few days and is normally gone in 3–4 weeks.

You may have some discomfort but this is not usually severe.

A little bruising is expected, especially if blood thinning agents such as aspirin, Ibuprofen (Nurofen or Advil), fish or krill oil, flaxseed oil or multivitamins have been ingested in the previous two weeks.

About 1 in 5 patients get a numb sensation in the treated area, which settles after a few weeks or months in all cases.

As with any injections, an allergic reaction can occur. Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to any substance.

Rarely, ulceration and subsequent scarring can occur and tender persistent lumps in the area injected have been reported.

The result can also occasionally be uneven, and if this is the case, further injections may be required.

Post Injection care

You should not exercise for 5 days and some patients find mild compression clothing (e.g. Spandex) helps for non-facial treatment areas.

A low calorie diet can help to increase the effectiveness of the treatment.

Complete the recommended course of therapy. Remember that good results will require at least three treatments, ideally two to four weeks apart.

Massage the treated area 5 minutes a day, 5 times a day for 5 days.

Tender lumps may be palpable for up to a month after treatment which is indicative of fat necrosis or fat cell death. It is normal for this to sometimes occur.

Moderate alcohol consumption post treatment is acceptable.

Some people experience some palpable lumps or unevenness after injectable Lipolysis/Mesotherapy. Massage (manual or a hand held massager) is helpful to increase circulation and smooth out any unevenness. This “lumping” will improve naturally over time.

Extended bruising or brown discoloration in the area treated can occur. This will settle with time.

Some itching similar to that experienced with hives can occur and is not a reason for concern. This usually lasts two to three days and can be treated with an antihistamine and a topical hydrocortisone cream, both available over the counter at your pharmacy if required.

Cosmetic improvement takes approximately three months to begin in majority of cases and final results in a selected few may not be seen for up to one year after treatment.

Fat dissolving injection treatment does not work on about 5% of patients.

Long-term benefit is possible with a healthy lifestyle.

The doctor will see you again after 2-4 weeks for review and to consider further treatments.
