G marks the spot…….. Have you shot the G yet?

If you’re loosing your sexual urge or drive in experiencing sexual pleasure or orgasm, this may just be what the doctor ordered for you.

You don’t have to struggle with sex anymore. This isn’t just something for one age group of patients either. Many women struggle with achieving orgasm of various ages, including women from 20-40 years old who either struggle to achieve pleasure during intercourse or those that have experienced heightened pleasure before but find they aren’t as pleasured as they once used to be.

G-Shot for the G-Spot

What is the G Spot?

The G Spot is called the Gräfenberg Spot. Identified by a German gynaecologist. It refers to an erogenous zone in the vaginal wall which swells during sexual stimulation.

Where is the G Spot?

The G Spot is located around 5cm away from the vaginal opening in the anterior vaginal wall. It’s a spot which is very sensitive to sexual stimulation. Once stimulated, it releases a clear secretion that is discharged from the vagina and this phenomenon is referred to as ‘female ejaculation’.

It’s always easier to locate your G-spot in your own privacy without first getting your partner involved. Begin by massaging the opening to your vagina before inserting your fingers or a sex toy. Then, using your index fingers, lift upward toward your belly button in a “come here” motion. Remember it’s about identifying the rough region from which stimulation gives you the most pleasure or a sensation of wanting to pee.

What is the G-Shot?

It is a non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatment.

It is a revolutionary scientific breakthrough that enhances and enlarges the G-spot, a bean-shaped area located in the front of the vagina that is abundant with nerve tissue.

The idea, it seems, is that a larger, more pronounced G-spot would amount to heightened sexual arousal and an increase in vaginal orgasms. It can make orgasms more intense and potentially allow a woman multiple orgasms.

Is the G-Shot painful?

It is a simple, painless clinic procedure performed in our clinic under local anesthesia. It is a non-surgical, physician-administered treatment that augments the Grafenburg Spot.

How long does the G-Shot take?

It usualy takes around 30 minutes from start to finish.

How long do the effects of G-Shot last?

The augmentation can last anywhere from 4-6 months. Thereafter to maintain the effect, we recommend scheduling the procedure twice a year. This is mainly because the HA Fillers (with or without Plasma Rich Platelet) injected will get broken down and absorbed by the body by that time returning your G-Spot into its original size.

How is the G-Shot procedure carried out?

A thorough history and consultation is carried out to ensure this is the right procedure for you.

Next some local anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area that is to be injected.

You will be asked to locate your own G-Spot which will then be conferred by the doctor where the exact location is within the vagina.

A vaginal speculum with some lubricating jelly is inserted into the vagina to provide a field of vision to the G-Spot.

The area to be injected is then cleaned with a sterile swab.

A small puncture into the vaginal wall is made to deliver the product to the right area.

The vaginal speculum is removed and a tampon is inserted into the vagina to minimise any bleeding.

What are the risks of G-Shot?

Risks are minimal and the HA Fillers are very safe.

Less than 1% have post procedure bleeding or infection.

Which part of the menstrual cycle can the procedure be carried out?

The procedure can be performed during any part of the menstrual cycle.

When can sexual intercourse take place after a G-Shot procedure?

Sexual activity can be resumed 4 hours after treatment.

Does the G-Shot enhance sexual pleasure?

The preliminary evidence indicates that these shots can enhance the orgasms of some women. As with many treatments in the growing field of female genital procedures, we will have a greater understanding of their effectiveness when we have rigorous scientific studies. In one study, 87% of women reported enhanced sexual arousal/gratification after receiving the G-Shot.

An enlarged G-spot may not actually have much of an effect on some women. For women who don’t normally get pleasure from that area, they won’t feel much of an effect. Women who derive pleasure from vaginal stimulation are likely to feel more intense arousal with a G-spot augmentation.

Every female is different and some women orgasm predominantly from the clitoris and others more so from the vagina and the G-spot stimulation.

Orgasms are not one-size-fits-all, so there’s no right or wrong way to orgasm.

How much is the G-Shot?

£1500

A nose job over a cup of tea …….

A nose job over a cup of tea …….

The nose is the only part of your face that protrudes from your face. It is the most defining feature of the face that impacts all the other features of the face.

Ever looked at your nose and thought, ‘can this look better?’

If you’re not keen for surgery and repeated usage of fillers again and again to correct deformities, the nose thread lift maybe an option for you.

Choose Y-KO or HIKO.

Nose Thread Lift

Where are these techniques from?

These were invented and developed in South Korea. The typical Asian nose has a low bridge, short nose, an upturned nose tip that is bulbous and harbors a short collumella. The nose thread lift may correct these problems. It works well correcting defects in the Caucasian nose.

What are Nose Thread Lift threads?

PDO stands for Polydioxanone. Its material has been used in surgical sutures for a very long time in surgeries.

How does the Nose Thread Lift work?

The threads that are placed delicately into the nose dissolve in the body by 9 months. They work by mechanically lifting tissues with their barbs and as the threads remain in situ, they stimulate natural collagen production by your own tissues. This means that the results of the nose thread lift will continue to improve, making it more beneficial as you age.

How long does the Nose Thread Lift last?

1-2 years

How long does a Nose Thread Lift take?

It takes about 30 minutes to carry out the procedure. What takes a little longer is the consultation and injecting the anaesthesia in certain areas to make it pain free thereafter.

Is a Nose Thread Lift painful?

The only discomfort you may feel is when anaesthetic is being administered. It is delivered through 4 tiny injections smaller than a insulin syringe.

How is the Nose Thread Lift carried out?

A thorough consultation is required to ensure it is safe and that this is the right procedure for you.

Then several anatomical markings and measurements will be taken and marked.

A small amount of local anaesthetic is injected in and around the nose to numb the area.

A small puncture will made with a needle in the tip of the nose to give access for threads to be inserted.

Multiple threads are inserted in various angles and layers to achieve the result that you desire.

Is the Nose Thread Lift procedure for you?

If you are looking for a correction of deformities without the risks with surgery, this is an option you should look into.

If you are a person who only gets HA filler treatment and are tired of the downtime.

If you are a person who is not satisfied with HA filler.

If you are a person who wants minimal invasive treatment.

If you are a person who needs conclusive results.

If you are a person who is looking for an affordable solution.

If you are a person who is concerned with the safety issue of HA fillers.

This procedure may enhance your nose to achieve a:

– sharper and sleeker nose tip;

– sharper and slimmer nose bridge;

– straighter nose bridge;

– higher nose bridge;

– defined nose bridge;

– narrowing of ala flares.

What can be obtained with a Nose Thread Lift?

– Higher or longer noses bridge

– Straight nose bridge for deviated noses

– Sharper and sleeker nose bridge

– Narrower nose tip

– Tip rotation correction

– Narrower ala of the nose

What are the advantages of Nose Thread Lift over HA Dermal Fillers?

HA Fillers have an affinity to splay sideways and widen the nose bridge.

The threads are made of a soft material, which doesn’t penetrate the vital vessels in the nose nor migrate from position of placement which prevents severe inflammation or necrosis of nose.

Immediate augmentation result by placing multiple threads.

An approximately 20% fat reduction caused by the threads.

Leaves no scars, and looks natural.

Uniquely barbed polydioxanone thread gives dramatic result within 10 minutes.

Exlcusion of any incisions.

Short downtime.

Stimulates patient’s intrinsic healing process.

Faster Recovery

Can last approximately twice as long as fillers with the added advantage of stimulation of one’s own collagen.

What are the risks of Nose Thread Lift?

Once the threads are placed, they can’t be dissolved. They will require surgical removal with delicate extrusion.

The nose thread lifts are unable to correct nasal dorsal humps or bumps. Sometimes this has to be combined with HA Fillers for a better result.

What are the side effects of Nose Thread Lift?

Side effects are rare, mild bruising and swelling might occur, but this usually fades quickly (you can minimise bruising by avoiding medication aforementioned before the procedure).

Swelling may occur and usually subsides within 7-10 days.

Redness, mild tenderness, itchiness and firmness around the injection sites are common but usually subsides within 7-10 days.

Local infection (please adhere to the post-treatment advice to avoid infection, antibiotics might be needed in such cases).

Asymmetry, threads being felt under the skin, thread migration and thread breakage are other complications which have been observed and may occur.

How much does a Nose Thread Lift cost?

Depending on the numerous number of issues that need to be addressed, prices usually start at £1,500

Nose Thread Lift Post Procedure Instructions?

Avoid drinking alcohol or partaking in strenuous exercise, as it may result in additional bruising for 72 hours.

Keep your head elevated at least 30 degrees for the first three nights.

You may apply ice or cold towel to the surgical sites for the first 24 hours. (Apply for 20 min on and 20 min off in the period of time)

Avoid any direct pressure to the face and area where the threads were placed for  3 weeks after procedure has been performed. (Example: sleeping on your face, known as the face down position, etc.)

You may wash your face. Be careful when washing your face near the nose area where the punctures were made.

Until the swelling and redness have resolved, avoid intense heat in the treated area(s). This includes sunbathing, tanning, saunas, hot tubs, or hot wax.

To help alleviate bruising, we recommend taking Arnica or Bromelain, eating fresh pineapple, and applying ice to the area.

To help alleviate swelling, we recommend an antihistamine during the day, like Zyrtec or Claritin, and Benedryl at night.

Sunscreen and makeup can be applied after 4 hours and you may use a gentle cleanser on the area.

Avoid planning any formal events for at least 7 days following the procedure to allow for adequate healing.

You may gently wash your treatment areas however avoid rubbing, scrubbing, facials, waxing and laser treatments for 7 – 10 days following treatment.

Apply SPF50 or higher and avoid excessive sun exposure to prevent hyperpigmentation.

How to reverse sun damage in 5 simple steps

An estimated 90% of skin aging is caused by the sun. Sun damage can speed up signs of aging, such as the formation of fine lines, loss of elasticity and formation of crepey skin. At Harley Street Surgery, we’ve put together our top tips to help you prevent and reverse skin damage caused by the sun.

Invest in high-quality sunscreen

People who use a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher daily show 24% less skin aging than those who do not use sunscreen daily. Always try to wear an SPF 50 on your face, neck, and hands. Go for high-quality brands that will shield your delicate skin against UVA and UVB damage. Reapply every two hours for maximum protection.

Consider a chemical peel

Renowned for its ability to turn back time, a chemical peel is the deepest, most powerful anti-aging peel you can get. It is able to permeate the dermal layer at a very deep level to remove the outer layers of skin and symptoms of skin damage, such as sunspots, pigmentation and fine lines, revealing renewed, plumper, more youthful skin beneath. Perfect for clients looking to turn back the hands of time once the damage has been done.

Follow a daily skincare regime

General maintenance and looking after your skin will help you protect against and reduce signs of sun damage. Choose products that are appropriate for your skin type. Follow the five-step principle of cleanse, tone, serum, moisturise, and oil every morning and evening, and you’ll be well on your way to beautiful, youthful skin. Of course, top this off with sunscreen during the day.

Try PRP therapy

PRP is a highly powerful antioxidant created from your own blood that can reverse unwanted signs of aging and reinvigorate your skin. It harnesses the power of blood platelets which contain incredibly powerful growth factors and proteins that have immense healing power. When PRP is injected into your skin, the concentrated proteins activate collagen growth and heal and plump the skin after sun damage has occurred.

Use micro-needling to boost collagen production

Microneedling aims to restore collagen production deep in the layers of your skin. The treatment is administered with a professional ultra-fine needle device which is rolled over the face, enabling potent treatments to be absorbed and penetrating the dermis layer, giving an almost immediate plumping effect. A process of healing and repair is kicked-off by the skin’s auto-immune response, filling in dark marks, pigmentation and wrinkles caused by skin damage.

To find out more about any of the sun damage reversal treatments mentioned in this article, schedule your free consultation with Dr. Dheeraj Bhar today. Visit www.harleystreets.com  or call 020 7935 6554 or get in contact by expressing your interest via this form.

PRP and PRF

What is PRP?

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is acquired by drawing a patient’s blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to concentrate blood platelets. It contains a lot of proteins and growth factors which usually support the body’s ability to produce collagen, hyaluronic acid, and elastin.

When PRP is injected into the body, it stimulates the skin’s ability to repair and restore tissue. This entirely natural treatment uses your body’s own natural processes to trigger deep and accelerated healing.

What is PRF?

Platelet-rich Fibrin (PRF) is the newest method to repair injuries within skin tissue. Fibrin is a biological scaffold which naturally forms in response to injury. Platelets bind to the Fibrin after an injury to activate and release growth factors. This enables the healing process by generating skin cells, collagen, and blood vessels.

Now, PRF can be isolated and injected back into the skin as well! The most important difference between PRP and PRF is the speed at which they function. While PRP releases its growth factors immediately to trigger rapid results, PRF releases its growth factors gradually. This means that PRF could sustain its benefits over a longer period of time.

Benefits of PRP and PRF for Your Skin

By improving the production of collagen, hyaluronic acid, elastin and other essential components of skin health, PRP and PRF treatments offer the following benefits to your skin:

  1. Reduce wrinkles
  2. Minimize acne scars
  3. Improve skin texture and color
  4. Rejuvenate overall complexion
  5. Restores youthful appearance
  6. Improves under eye puffiness and dark circles

It is very important to receive PRP and PRF treatments from an experienced and professional doctor. At Harley Street Surgery, Dr. Bhar uses PRP and PRF to eliminate your signs of skin damage and aging so you can look and feel like the very best version of yourself.

PRP

What is PRP?

PRP is known as the Platelet-rich plasma which is also known as autologous conditioned plasma. PRP is a substance which promotes healing when injected. It is a component of the blood which carries a special “factor” or proteins that help the blood to clot. It also contains proteins which support cell growth.

The idea is to inject PRP into damaged tissues which stimulate the body to grow new and healthy cells and promote healing. Because the tissue growth factors are more concentrated in the prepared growth injections, the body’s tissues may heal faster.

Facts about PRP

  1. At Harley Street Surgery, Dr. Bhar uses PRP to encourage healing and to reduce inflammation.
  2. In order to perform PRP, Dr. Bhar first draws blood from the person being treated.
  3. Side effects can be mild nausea, passing out and dizziness.

Benefits of PRP

There are a few benefits of PRP including:

  1. Hair growth

Dr. Bhar injects PRP into the scalp, as a way of reducing the inflammation which can lead to hair growth.

  1. Tissue Healing

Dr. Bhar uses PRP to help people heal after jaw and plastic surgeries. Examples of tissues that PRP has been used on include:

  • Tendons

  • Ligaments

  • Muscles

  • Ligaments can take some time and can be difficult to heal, which can make PRP an attractive option for some of those who have experienced injuries to this tissue group.
  1. Inflammation reduction

At our clinic, we use PRP to reduce inflammation caused by osteoarthritis. This inflammation can lead to painful and stiff joints.

How PRP works?

Platelets are blood cells with various roles to play in the body. One is to encourage blood clotting so that a person does not excessively bleed when they are cut. Another is to hold the protein in the blood which helps wounds to heal.

A small blood sample is taken from the person who is being treated and put into a centrifuge or other specialized device that spins at high speed. This process separates platelets from other blood components. The concentration of platelets is then injected into the area of the person’s body that needs to be treated.

Because the injection carries a high concentration of platelets which can be formed 5 to 10 times more than the untreated blood, the platelets will speed up healing.

Derma Roller

A Derma Roller is a skin care device which is used to help in reviving the skin, treating acne scarring and reduce signs of aging. It has gained popularity in recent years as an accessible, effective, and relatively non-invasive skin treatment. In Harley street surgery, this treatment is conducted by the most experienced and professional cosmetic surgeon Dr. Bhar.

Use of Derma Roller:

Derma roller was initially used by the cosmetic surgeon as a way of boosting collagen production for treating facial scars and skin rejuvenation.

Now, it is also used as a way to deliver therapeutic drugs and vaccines through the skin.

In addition, it has gained popularity as a home treatment to improve the appearance of the skin. Many people use it to try to combat the signs of aging, such as:

1. Loss of skin firmness

2. The appearance of fine lines

3. Start of Wrinkles

4. Stretch Marks

5. Large Pores

6. Oily skin

Some people also use it to try to reduce pore size and the production of oil called sebum, if their skin is oily. Others use derma rollers to try to improve the appearance of stretch marks. Although derma rolling can be done at home, it is a good idea to speak with a cosmetic surgeon or doctor about any ongoing skin concerns.

How Derma roller Works?

How to use Derma Roller

When the derma roller is rolled over the skin, the small, fine needles on the roller flats the dead skin. The holes which the needles create in the skin are small and considered to be superficial. For this reason, the treatment is not seen as invasive.

When the skin is punctured, it creates a controlled skin injury. It does not cause actual damage to the outer layer of skin. The needles help to break down the scar tissues and after an hour, your skin looks beautiful and pure.

Laser Hair Removal in London

Laser Hair removal is gathering people worldwide with the hope of a life free from unnecessary hair. This means waxing, shaving and plucking could be things of the past.

This technology has been backed by clinical research that has confirmed results that it can relieve patients from unwanted hair within a specialized clinic in London’s Harley Street.

Laser hair removal gives the most successful results on light and dark hair. However, lighter or darker skins can also be treated achieving the equivalent results.

Lasers can only destroy hair when they are in their growth phase. Twenty percent of hair is actually resting or dormant at any one time, laser hair removal sessions must be repeated so that will treat this hair when they re-enter the growth cycle. Normally all these areas will require at least six to eight laser hair removal treatments.

How many treatments are required actually depends on many factors like:

The skin and the hair type, patient’s ethnic background, hormonal balance, and skin sensitivity are some of the factors. It is not possible to categorically state how many treatments each individual will require, though this can be discussed at a consultation with a laser therapist at a London clinic.

Laser hair removal can treat all outer areas of the body and face without no time consumption provided that a patch test is done prior to having the laser hair removal treatment, in addition, this can be arranged at the clinic.

What age is recommended for laser hair removal?

Those who are under the age of 18 require the presence of a parent on the first consultation and written consent from a parent, the risks of laser hair removal for them are the same as for an adult.

When one is ready to have this treatment, a cool gel is gently applied to the area that is required to be treated. The laser hand-piece is then carefully placed against the skin and pulses of intense light are then delivered into the skin. During this time of the treatment, some of the hair is already wiped off, yet it can take up to two to three weeks for all the hair that has been treated to completely fall out.

It can be treated with no taking too much of a patients time and there are no scars or bruising after but slight redness.

Diamond Microdermabrasion – Advantages of Diamond Microdermabrasion

In today’s market, diamond microdermabrasion is one of the best cosmetic skin treatments which is loved by women around the globe. This procedure is easy and painless which requires no anesthesia or any chemicals. Due to its non-invasive nature, it works effectively for most skin types and skin problems like wrinkles, acne, stretch marks, age-spots etc.

Traditionally, crystal microdermabrasion was used to exfoliate the layer of dead skin that clouds the skin complexion. This is achieved by using a hand-held device to blasts stream of aluminum oxide crystals onto the skin and exfoliates the topmost layer of dead skin in abrading motion. If you are looking for one of the best ways to eliminate your wrinkles or fine lines, then crystal microdermabrasion could be an option for you.

However, crystal microdermabrasion is not advisable to treat areas that are near to the eyes or mouth. Sometimes, the crystal particles may get into the eyes or mouth which poses health risks. Unfortunately, these are also the areas that usually give rise to wrinkles or fine lines which mostly require treatment. Therefore, the next better option would be diamond microdermabrasion.

Diamond microdermabrasion uses microdermabrasion tips covered in tiny diamonds for skin exfoliation and the dead skin cells are then vacuumed away from the microdermabrasion machine. As there are no particles created when performing this procedure, it is safe for treatment around the area of eye and mouth without any problems. In fact, the diamond tip provides a more thorough and effective treatment of old stretch marks or deeper acne scars.

Diamond microdermabrasion relies on suction in combination with the diamond tips to exfoliate the skin. With different suction levels, it has the added benefit of stimulating the collagen production and increasing blood flow to the skin. The treatment is able to offer fast improvements for skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks, acne scars, and uneven skin tone.

Usually, microdermabrasion is performed by dermatologists or skin care specialists at the clinics or spas. Even though microdermabrasion will give you immediate results, you will need at least 6 – 9 sessions to achieve the best results.
