Cheeky cheeks!

Check out our cheek hack article straight from renowned Harley Street surgeon, Dr Bhar. High cheekbones and plump cheeks are a universally recognised symbol of beauty. They are associated with youthfulness, attractiveness, and according to science, even fertility!  If you’re suffering from asymmetry, feel that your cheekbones have become sallow or sunken from the effects of gravity, or simply want to add definition and contour to your upper face, read Dr Bhar’s advice for how to best achieve the look.

  1. Facial fillersThis lovely lady came to Dr Bhar because she had asymmetry in her cheeks, and wanted to enhance her looks. Augmentation of her cheeks with dermal fillers has restored symmetry and provided beautiful definition her cheekbones. You can see for yourself the incredible results achievable with versatile, safe and quick facial fillers when administered by Dr Bhar.
  2. PDO threadsPDO contouring is the process of inserting tiny absorbable threads into the subcutaneous layer of the skin on and around the affected area, in this case, the cheek and cheekbones.  They have a tightening, lifting effect on the skin; stimulating the production of collagen and causing the skin tissue to contract, resulting in sculpted, contoured cheekbones. It can have a very positive effect upon a person’s silhouette and contribute to a smoother, more youthful cheekbones.
  3. Contour makeup – You can achieve a highly contoured look with makeup. You will need a darker contour colour to apply just underneath the cheekbones, and a shimmery highlight colour to put on and above the cheekbones. Try the Nars contour blush palette which contains both. Of course, this won’t have a permanent effect and will need to be reapplied daily, but you can achieve dramatic contoured look to your face.
  4. Facial yoga – Facial exercises can increase circulation and muscle strength, contributing to a more toned and lifted cheekbone and cheek area. We recommend this one for lifted cheekbones: 1. Place your fingers on each cheekbone 2. Lift the skin until taut 3. Make an ‘O’ shape with your mouth 4. Hold for 4 seconds and release 5.Repeat everyday 10-15 times. You’ll start to see results after about 6 weeks.
